The incident, which occurred early Monday morning, saw the car veer off the northbound lane for unknown reasons. Authorities reported that neither drugs nor alcohol were suspected, and the vehicle's cruise control and lane assistance features were active.

Miraculous Escape from Guardrail Impalement

On Monday morning, a 23-year-old driver of a Tesla Model Y experienced a harrowing crash on I-5. The vehicle veered off the road, traveled through a dirt center divide, and collided with a fixed metal guardrail, which impaled the car. Despite the severity of the impact, the driver was able to walk away with only minor injuries.
