Apple’s Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter can transfer photos and videos from a digital camera to a compatible iPad. When connected, the Photos app can open automatically so you can select and organize imported media.
A Lightning power port allows the adapter to receive power from a compatible USB power adapter. With external power, supported iPads can connect to compatible USB peripherals such as hubs, Ethernet adapters, audio or MIDI interfaces, and memory-card readers.
The adapter supports common photo formats including JPEG and RAW, plus H.264 and MPEG-4 video. The 12.9-inch iPad Pro (1st and 2nd generation) and 10.5-inch iPad Pro support USB 3 transfer speeds; the 9.7-inch iPad Pro uses USB 2 speeds.
